Sigh.
It's cold here.
Blech!
I think that Hannah was the most excited to see me -- she kept knocking the kids out of the way so she could get to me. Apparently Grampa kept taking her for walks and she must have been getting tired of having to exercise LOL! Ryan ran to Harry, Kevin ran for me and Patrick even came up and hugged and kissed me. (Blow me over!)
Now life is back to "normal" and we are the meanest parents ever. Ah, the universe is back in order!
Yesterday we took Mr. Ryan for his 18 month check-up, and since we had delayed some shots and missed his 15 month appointment due to him being sick for so long, he ended up with 5 shots. (He should have had up to 7 but I drew the line at 5, and even didn't want him to have THAT many but we did it by risk factor....) So, he had DAPT, HIB, Varivax, MMR, and Fluzone. He is in the 20th percentile for weight at 23.9 lbs... and 50% for height at 32-1/2 inches. He was a little trooper yesterday and while Harry had a rough spot with him yesterday afternoon while I had the boys at karate, he only woke up screaming twice last night so I call that a success!
The boys have been busy -- Harry had them paper mache some balloons on Sunday since they have to make a 3D "head" for a book presentation (the paper from school suggested a paper plate, but my comment was that was not 3D so why ask for a 3D presentation??), and they've been working on their Cub Scout Pinewood Derby cars. Patrick got his started cut out last night so now he'll be busy sanding!
Yesterday they were talking about kids stealing snacks from the cafeteria line, so we talked about that for a bit... and I think we'll be headed over to "God Squad" tonight. This month's meeting is called "SIN BUSTERS - Stealing" so I figure it is just too much of a coincidence to pass up! (Since the kids were told they weren't going to be at the nursing home again they are excited about going -- I think the caroling last month was a bit too much for them!)
Okay, I have to get off of here. Ryan & I are off to MOPS this morning so I need to get him dressed!
