TERRA... FIRMA????

In case anyone was concerned, yes, the Earth does still rotate once every 24 hours. I can say this for certain because I can still feel it. Ah, the joys of gravity... and screwed up inner ear crystals. I still find myself wobbling a bit when standing still, but as someone told me yesterday -- I can weeble, I can wobble - as long as I don't fall down! (Not to date ourselves or anything....) In the interest of the approaching holidays and our market accounts that are dropping out of sight faster than any male within 50 yards of a baby who has pooped, Mr. Mom left at 4:20 am for work this morning. After all, one of the "joys" of owning your own business is that if there is no work... there is no PAY. (Damn it all!!) We're also on a "mininal spending spurt" right now since one of the Demon Spawn didn't close the basement freezer all the way, resulting in the loss of over $1,000 of food. Now, mind you, I didn't care much about losing the gross batch of Omaha Steaks we had been gifted about 1-1/2 years ago that we weren't eating... but the loss of the Timbuktu Crab Cakes that we were saving for "a special occassion" REALLY pissed me off! I should be MORE concerned about the stash of Banquet meals that we lost because this now means I might have to cook for said Demon Spawn some weekday evenings. Good thing Mr. Mom picked up 2 jars of peanut butter while at the grocery this week.... I see a LOT of bologna and pb&j sandwiches in their futures!
