FREAKY TWIN FRIENDS

It was a great experience that during our trip to St. Louis, our friends, the Edwards, met up with us! They drove THREE FULL DAYS to spend the week with us and it went really well with all the kids not having seen each other for 2-1/2 years, when I was pregnant & they were still living in Las Vegas. They got to meet Ryan... Sheila & I got to have our traditional Law & Order and drinking marathon (well, okay, so only 3 hours worth, but hey - you take what you can get LOL!)... and the kids didn't really get sick of each other! It was so cute, too - one evening, we overheard Cameron asking Kevin... "Are Garrett & I still your best friends?" Awwwww!

We've jokingly called them "The Quad Squad" since the beginning, and yes, even on this trip someone asked if they were all brothers! We first met them in person on the Edwards' twins' 1st birthday...and the boys were inseparable until we all left Cincinnati on the same day in August 2004. When they were younger the physical similarities between the two sets was weird - Patrick & Garrett (on the left) looked more like brothers and the same for Kevin & Cameron (on the right)... while the actual brothers didn't look a bit alike! Now, however, it's mainly the personality traits that are similar.

Patrick & Garrett could often be found comparing notes on books, puzzles, and computer / video games.....
... while Cameron & Kevin were often found creating chaos (in this shot they had Ryan in the restroom & were trying to heave him up onto the sink to wash off his hands after they had taught him how to play in the public toilets - ewwwwww!!!).
So it shouldn't have come as any surprise to us when we realized that OUR KIDS HAVE THE SAME SHOES.
P & G both had black Skechers... K & C had the camo ones. Freaky twin stuff, eh??

Like I said - the boys had a blast together!
ALL the boys (kids, parents & grandparent) went to a SL Cardinal ball game... the boys swam & one day raced Grampa (and lost LOL)....
... of course they worked together to chase down Ryan as he ran through the hotel lobby...
... and they took some time out to play "Apples to Apples" that Gramma had bought them.
So, you may ask yourself.... What's it like having these four boys together??
Well, it's DEFINITELY a HAIR RAISING experience!!

That is funny about the shoes. What a fun post -- especially that last photo. I would think that having 5 boys around could do that to a lot of moms, but I am not sure how many would have thought of taking that photo. Thank you for a good laugh!

I am so glad that Michelle does this, otherwise no one would ever see the pictures from our visits! I am great at taking pictures and terrible about getting them out. We had a great time, I didn't think that 5 boys was much more work than 4...one was just much more active than the others :)
