CHRISTMAS IN (almost) JULY

Our friends, Monica & Michael, recently sent the boys birthday and Christmas gifts. Even though we only live about 45 minutes apart, it just never seems to work out to get together, and I guess they were tired of tripping over them LOL! Anyway, Monica suggested we have a Christmas in July, so that's what I did with the boys on Tuesday!

Here the boys are opening up their birthday gifts - -they were THRILLED to receive RC Hot Wheel vehicles. Kevin, of course, was soooo excited to get a Ford Mustang! Patrick kept looking at his Toyota truck saying, "This should be a Ford, Mom." LOL!! They were the hit of the cul-de-sac last night out there with their vehicles!

We then opened up Christmas gifts. You know, this whole "Christmas in July" thing really is pretty cool, because it kept them occupied and was great fun to get new toys for the summer! Patrick got a Transformer, which he (of course) sat immediately down and starting working through the instructions (such a little enginerd!)... Kevin got some rev-up motorcycle racers that they have ALL been having such a great time with running them off of the coffee table (poor Hannah seems to be the "stopper")... and Ryan was totally TICKLED with his wind-up Take-Along Thomas set! He thought it was sooo cool that Thomas could move by himself! I wasn't sure he was ever going to get the box opened, though -- he kept pulling off pieces of paper then trying to hand them to Patrick, who wasn't in the mood (really, when is he ever??) to clean up after his brother....
