Went through the typical "here's the expected behavior" chat.
Didn't work.
As parents often are, we were idiots and walked up to the FRONT to sit so that all the boys could see Pastor John while he chatted with the crowd for a few minutes & then played the accordian to lead the kids in songs.

Our kids, who in their matching orange shirts drew LOTS of comments of how cute they were, were NOT CUTE as they sat there pitching a bitch about how this was too much like a church service (well gee whiz, boys, YOU'RE AT A CHURCH FUNCTION!!!!) and when were they going to get to hunt eggs.
Then I got the fun & joy of taking the big boys to the basement for their age group egg hunt, where they pushed their way to the front as I stood embarassed in front of all the other Mom's Ministry gals that I'm getting to know... and then they refused to listen to me when I told them to come to the back & stand by me... so yes, I was the poster child for WHY someone needs the support of a small group!

They look pretty cute for two children on the imminent verge of death, don't they??
Harry got to go with Ryan, who picked up his first egg and basically got "lost" in the moment LOL!! He would lick the candy & then throw it aside -- the best was when he chewed up a jelly bean & then spit it out on Harry LOL!!
