When I walked out to take the big boys down to the bus stop, Kevin said, "Mom! There's glass all over the ground & the window is shattered!" Not sure if you can tell it from th epicture, but it almost looks like something was trying to get OUT, since the bottom piece that is broken is leaning outward and the glass seems to all be on the garage floor. (Maybe all the leftover soccer snacks, trash, etc... were trying to make their way to the trash can, eh??)
So, it's a good thing I don't have anywhere pressing to be this morning... That if I *do* need to leave we have the extra car seat in the Sable... and that the van isn't outside & it's not RAINING (yet!) this morning LOL!
I just cannot figure out what happened though... Nothing is on the ground & nothing would have fallen from above... I let the kids out on the driveway when we came home from karate so I know no one knocked it with the bo staffs... It didn't happen when I shut the door last night to get out because I would have noticed it while I was getting Mr. Ryan out. Best I can figure is something from the trash cans hit the window, although Kevin (Patrick is conspicuously quiet on the subject - hmmmm.......) is ADAMANT that he did NOT do it....!! I can only figure that Patrick must have thrown the garbage bag towards the can & maybe hit the window instead?? Wonder what Harry had in the office trash can - any bricks he was throwing out this week?????

OMGosh... good thing that didn't happen with the kids in the car. I hope the insurance deductible isn't too steep.

I had the rear windshield do that on my Nissan Quest -- there actually was no impact, but it was something like -10 out and the cold did it (or so I was told . . . no kids yet and not sure why Dave would bother to lie, LOL!). G'morning!
WOW! I wonder what happened! I'm glad no one got hurt. How crazy! That had to be some hard hit for it to shatter like that!
I am so glad that did not happen while you were in it. Does look like it started from the inside, but with safety glass it takes a big thump to get it started to shatter.
Let us know what the dealership has to say about it...
And so nice to see you back o heren
love to all from Janice
