WEEK RECAP - Part Two

Friday morning we were off & running (okay, DRIVING) to the Tri-County area to hit Hobby Lobby. The only time I get into one is when I go to Lima, and the one that is opening close by keeps having its open date pushed back. (BOO!!) Anyway, they were pretty picked over in the scrap supplies, but we still managed to do some damage . We had to detour a bit so we were able to go through Sheila's old neighborhood / area. It was great for her to see all that had changed -- although it was hard for me to be back there!

Friday afternoon Scott & Sheila went back to the Cincy area and Harry & I wrangled the boys. I really have to admire folks with larger families - I don't know how they do it! Well, okay, when you start out with them from the beginning you have the routine down... but still, it's got to be chaotic! It was really nice to have a 2/3 year old around. I really miss the willingness to snuggle...but not the diapers LOL!

On Saturday we had "water day". We did water balloons, set up the Slip 'n Slide, and let the kids use the water blasters on each other. Poor Hannah was BEGGING to go inside!

Sunday we woke up to Garrett throwing up - phlegm pukies. I have decided that kids and dogs are VERY similar -- they tend to forget to run to the potty or the outside, and instead head for the nearest stretch of CARPET to puke on. Sigh... Between that and Hannah getting spooked by firecrackers & peeing on the carpet, methinks it's time for some carpet cleaning LOL! He ended up being fine and we were off to Dunsinane (pool) for a few hours. After that we napped all the kids for some fun & excitement that night!

Our neighbor shot off some fireworks, then we did more sparklers in the back yard, and set up the firepit to make s'mores. We (finally!) realized what time it was and got the kids into bed at 11 pm. They really seemed to have a great time though, so that was a super way to end the visit :) !!

Monday the Edwards went back home. It was sad to see the kids go since we don't know when they will get together again. S said that C cried about halfway to the Indy airport. :*(

It was a long week, an eventful week, and a memorable week... and once we all get caught back up on our sleep we'll be ready for them to come back LOL!!
