WINTER VACATION...

Break from school is going well so far. We're making the boys do two sheets of "homework" a day -- math worksheets and language things I've printed off for them. So, after 30 minutes of tantrums each day, they finally do them. >eyeroll< We're also making them practice (gasp!) their katas each day & doing their chores (double gasp!). Nothing like 30 minutes of work for 10 hours of playtime, eh? If only adulthood were so cushy...

We (I) finally broke down and took Ryan to the Ped. Figured that since he'd been sick for about 20 days it was time, and they were actually able to do something since we'd waited long enough by giving him an antibiotic. He's actually MUCH better now after 24 hours on it, but we're still a ways away from him being 100%.

Harry is fielding calls left & right from potential employers, so it's mainly going to be an issue of who can get their client lined up first as to where, and when, he'll be back to hitting the road! In the meantime, I'm enjoying the adult back-up... and everyone is just enjoying having a "typical" family life. It's going to be VERY VERY hard when he's back to just being here on the weekends... especially for Ryan. He is really Daddy's boy and has been known to push me aside! I try to accommodate that at 2 am.... >wink<

My poor freezer looks so empty & lonely... Gramma had made up a lot of the food (okay, about 80% of it LOL!) for Christmas & it had been in our freezer, so now it's empty again! It really made Christmas meals much nicer though to have all the prep work done ahead of time! (Thanks again, Gramma!)
