Last Wednesday was our last Storytime for the early Fall session. The "theme" was pumpkins, so here is "Miss Amy" reading "Five Little Pumpkins" while Ryan & Max listen raptly to the tale! Actually Ryan was much more concerned about the five felt pumpkins and acted a bit slighted when she told him he couldn't put them up on the felt board. (As Daddya reported back after he did storytime, Miss Amy seems much more concerned about getting the hell out of there after her alloted 30 minutes than she seems into doing the actual storytime. But then again, if I was faced with 15 toddlers and parents, *I* would want to get the hell outta there, too!)
Monday is sign-up for "late Fall". Sigh.... Seems like an awful lot of "to do" just for six storytimes. You have to line up way in advance of the sign-up time in order to try to secure a spot, because people are there in person and also calling in. I wouldn't really care, except that Wednesday is the only day that they start at 9:30 am & I am guaranteed a halfway compliant toddler. 10:30 - 11:00 can tend to start getting itchy around here at times... Anyway, I just can believe I'm about to go stand out to sign up for this again. What a little cult I've joined! You go in & sit around in a semi-circle and everyone (else) knows all these little cutesie songs and hand motions (open, shut them, open, shut them, give a little clap-clap-clap.... open, shut them, open shut them, place them in your lap-lap-lap)...
Auuugggghhhhhh!!!!
Am I REALLY doing this again??!!!!????

The BEST/funniest part about this photo spread is the look on my face. I look like I'm a zombie from "Invasions of the Body Snatchers." or a Stepford Mom...lol. Ah, can the people tell how much fun story time is?
