Today Ryan & I went to celebrate his little friend Max's 2nd birthday. (His birthday is actually on Monday, same as the big boys!) His birthday party was a construction zone theme -- he is also a 3rd child, but unlike Ryan's Mom, his Mom has it together! She handmade all the invitations & made the most AMAZING cake! I tried to be crafty with the bag -- I cut out his name letters, pasted on white dashes & then glue dotted on lightweight cars for decoration.
Meredith had these really cool construction cone cups for the kids. Ryan was soooo excited to get some apple juice! (He's so deprived at home!) I was nervous about the cake -- he kept trying to push up there to see it & was trying to touch it. I've seen way too many scary instances of other kids ruining cakes so finally I just asked Jeff, Erin's husband, to GRAB HIM!!
The "best part" (aka humorous part) was Erin trying to get Evan & Ryan to understand how to put their arms around each other so we could pose them for a picture. It was really funny! They finally figured it out & we did get a cute picture of it!
