SOCCER STARTS!!

Soccer officially started this past Saturday. We failed to tell our kids that there were more differences this year beyond the basic one that they are mixing up 3rd & 4th graders (before it was made up of just single graders). Well, it's also a longer field... wider field... and larger goal (poor Patrick!). The one thing that they are TOTALLY psyched about is that they get the "shiny" jerseys. In the past, the recreation league had t-shirt uniforms; this year, they have "real" jerseys so they are really cool! The bad news, is that while last Fall their team ended up 2nd after an overtime tournament game... this year, their team has already lost the first two games. Basically, they BITE. So, I foresee a REALLY LONG SEASON because, obviously, it's not as fun to be on the LOSING team! Patrick continues to ask to be goalie (ugh) and Kevin just tries to keep up when he thinks we're watching him (otherwise he strolls LOL). Poor kid is about a head shorter than many of the other players LOL!!
