Today there was a Thomas the Tank Engine "event" at Toys-R-Us, so we took Ryan as his "treat". He got to hang out, play with some trains (even ones we don't have!), color a page, got some free trading cards and heard a Thomas story.
Since we were there, we took in his birthday card & he got his birthday balloon & crown. As you can see, the crown was NOT a big hit.
However, we did walk through the store to see if he got attached to anything. We even steered him towards the HUGE shelves full of Elmo stuff and he just ignored them. Oh well. He was into the Teletubbies, but thankfully handed them back for Daddy to put them on the shelves. (Whew!)
He spent the most time hopping in & out of the vehicles. We did leave with a little carrying box that holds 4 Thomas board books. This was after we had to chase him down from the back of the store where he went back to climb into the cars again...
