TUESDAY TALES

Kevin is back to school. I'm sure his father will NOT forget to give him his allergy medicine this weekend!

No soccer tonight because of inclement weather. Yippeee!

I feel HORRIBLE. Good thing Harry is not within driving distance or he would be having his third short week in a row :( !! Right now the kids are in the basement with Bobby & Ryan went down to "play" so at least I have some peace & quiet. I had to play oodles of Sesame Street & Teletubbies today just so I could sit on the couch & not have to run around the house (inside or out) with Mr. Ryan... the coughing takes over too much, and I know my parents are looking forward to us coming up this weekend while the big boys play paintball, so I don't want to be too sick to do that!

Dishwasher works again (whew!) and the dishes come out REALLY CLEAN. Hmmmm..... guess that whole "garbage disposal" feature of the dishwasher isn't what it is made out to be...???

I missed the last MOPS meeting of the year :( due to this ick-yuck. What a bummer! They had the fire trucks come in today, but since we just saw them on Saturday and Friday the 30th I've organized an outing to the Fire Station for MOMS Club, Ryan will live. He can put it on his list for the psychotherapist, along with the note that his Gramma never made HIM tapioca when the big boys got it ALL THE TIME.

The fun part of today? This afternoon when the boys, giggling & falling all over themselves, told me the joke about how a little boy walked in on his parents while his Dad was putting his "car" into his Mom's "garage". So here I am, I feel like shit, covered in cold sweat from trying to rest while Ryan naps, and I'm having to launch into "the talk". I thought I saw a letter from the jeweler come to Harry the other week -- if it was a discount coupon, I sure hope he held on to it because I'm starting to think I need something sparkly to make up for the last month!!!

Last week at the Board Meeting for MOMS Club I was given a starter for Amish Friendship Bread. Can you believe it? I took it mainly because it was SUCH a flashback -- I don't think I've seen those since the early 90's!! Harry about died laughing when he saw it on the counter. Good thing is that now I'm old enough that I have the (courage) to just pour the stuff down the drain instead of feeling like I have to keep making it every 10 days... LOL!! I figure since there is also a chocolate variation that at least the kids will like it once or twice...???

Well, they are at it again. The folks across the pond are working on another "structure". The first full summer we were here they put up a monolithic deck. Next summer, while I was pregnant & recovering from Ryan's birth, we watched & played the "what is it?" game on a hot tub with slatted roof structure. Now they are out there on the other side cutting wood & starting a frame on the ground for something. Extending the driveway? Building another deck or patio portion? Send in your guesses, folks!

Off to feed the kids sandwiches. Mommy's tummy is REALLY starting to bother her (thanks, Kevin!) so I'm not in the mood to feed them a "real" dinner. Sigh.... Is it bedtime yet??

Let's see a picture of the "structure" so we can guess.

LOL- I always felt guilty about those bread starters!
