CREW CAMP!

The soccer league does something cool each spring -- they bring in the "Crew" players -- professional soccer players from the state -- and they players do a little mini-clinic with the kids. I personally didn't think this year was as good as ones in the past -- all they really did this year was play games, whereas last year they rotated the players through the kids and they all taught them a little "trick" or something to use on the field.

But really, when you think about it, how often are your kids going to get to "hang out" with professional soccer players or get this close to them? I have to admit though -- I have NO CLUE who this player was LOL!

Here's the boys (left two) playing "caterpillar tag" during the event!

Afterwards, we waited in a line and all the kids got t-shirts to show they attended the Crew "Boot Camp", and then they could get in another line to get autographs from the players. Last year they had their soccer bags signed, but this year they decided they didn't want to wait in the line (whew - the mommy relief was palpable!) and we just went on home!
