It was colder than a monkey's rear! Brrrrrrrr!!!!! And it was also amazing -- Kevin was soooo aggressive & kept going towards the ball, actually KICKED it, that when we got home I paid him $1 for his efforts LOL!!! (Yes, we are parents into bribery!)
Patrick, at his request, played goalie, so at this week's practice they worked with him on that some more. Afterwards, the coaches asked me how I felt about him being goalie. I just said that I know he likes playing it, but that we did have concerns about him flinching from the balls. But really, what was I supposed to say?
"Yes coach, I do have an issue with that because I don't want MY KID to be the one that all the other parents are muttering about under their breath and all the other players HATE when they lose because they were scored upon so much...."
???!!!
So, I just put on my "soccer Mom face" and said that as long as he's having fun (fake smile intact) that it's up to him & them which position he plays.
(In my head, however, I screamed at the guy, "Don't do that to my little baby!!!!!")
