Each month, the boys have a "Book It" project they have to do. Normally it is to read so many books & write some responses to them (2 of the months the parents have also had to write responses -- I thought I gave up homework when I graduated from college...????).January's "Book It" was to make a 3-D rendering of a character's head. The directions suggested having the kid draw on a plate & then put the character report on a plate dangling below it. Of course we overachieved (another good reason for Daddy to go back to work LOL!!).
Harry & Ryan make up paper mache paste. No, Ryan really isn't that tall -- he's standing on his little yellow Little Tikes chair (aka the portable scaling tower).

We made them strip down to work with the paper & paste... and Ryan "supervised"!

Here we are with the finished heads, hot gluing on yarn hair. The boys had spray painted the heads, then cut out mouths, teeth, eyes, noses, ears, etc... it was truly 3 dimensional LOL!

Here's Patrick giving 'Frank Hardy' of the Hardy Boys a hair cut.
We were sooooo glad to send the heads in to school this week - whew!!!
