All three boys have recently had check-ups.
Last Friday was R's turn, and if we were half-way competent parents, we would have remembered to take his vacinnation record so that we would have had this information recorded... But at 5 months (his 4 month check-up LOL) he was close to 15 pounds, and a little over 28" long. He got four shots and one liquid vax (poor baby!) but at least the resulting fussiness wasn't as long as at the 2 month check up!
The other day the brothers had their 7 year check-up. They got the flu mist and also a SHOT - the chicken pox booster. Lots of McDonald bribery got P through it, but not without incident. Seems his mother was telling him how a shot wouldn't be much worse than if she pinched him, so he told her to pinch him, and she did... and well, let's just say that the shot didn't leave a mark but Mommy's pinch left a BRUISE. (Oops.) At least the nurse witnessed it so no one can accuse me of abusing him!
Here's their stats...
K: 47.0 lbs & 46-1/2" tall
P: 70.4 lbs & 48-1/4" tall
K has been complaining about his eyes so I had them test him, even though he was just tested at school & no one alerted me to anything... and he came up as (L) 20/40 and (R) 20/25. We're not sure if he was just SAYING he couldn't see it or if there is actually a problem, because he seems fixated on wanting glasses... so we need to find a kiddie opthamalogist around here to test him & find out for sure. We're also going to take him to an orthopedist to have his femoral anteversion (hips) checked again since he has such a funky run and he's getting made fun of by kids on the playground. (Sigh....)
