SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS....

.... I've never met!

The internet truly IS an amazing vehicle. We can find out information in minutes, which normally would have taken us HOURS at the library... We can talk to people in different countries and learn about other ways of life... and yes, it affords us the ability to create a community for ourselves of friends and pseudo-family.

I first met Sheila through a twins' list that we were both on... and started chatting when she asked about information about housing in the Cincinnati area, because her husband was being moved there. The first time we met was at her house, where we went to celebrate her boys' first birthday... and the rest is history. (Or herstory [wink].) So I can honestly say that some of my best friends are connected to me by my fingertips...

...which leads me to my heart-friends at TRU. TRU is an on-line community I belong to of twin moms. Sheila took and got some of the girls to participate in an "album shower", where they made some pages for a baby album for the R-man. The following entries to the blog showcase those pictures, and some of the other gifts I got from the girls -- and yes, some of them I've never even met in person!

I can't even begin to describe, or even make sense, of how important these other girls are and what a part of my life they are. I mean, if you take it out of context, it just seems downright *ODD*... but until you've been part of a community like it, you just can't undersand it. And to tell the truth... I can only feel sorry for people who haven't had the opportunities that I have to meet such awesome people like I have on TRU!
