MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL....

We had a really busy Christmas Eve & Day - but at least it was low-key busy! No one recovering from life-threatening surgery this year.... M not having pregnancy pukies this holiday like at Thanksgiving... so all-in-all, it went well!

Started off on Christmas Eve doing the 3pm service at church. (NOTE TO SELVES: The 3pm service is not as crowded & not necessary to get there before the pastors!) Afterwards, we went to dinner at the chinese joint down the street - it was yummmyyyyyy!! Then we went on to Grandmother & Grandfather's house to have O-Christmas, and Gramma, Grampa & Mac went back to our house to recuperate !

The boys were up at 5:30 am on Christmas Day. Since Mommy wasn't sleeping well, she was already awake, but came upon the BRILLIANT (if I do say so myself) idea to tell the kids to go in & sleep with Daddy & HE would tell them when it was 6:30 am. Yes, I do know that I show those flashes of brilliance every now & again LOL!!

Everyone was up & moving by 6:30 so the kids ripped into everything. They got the one gift each they had asked for from Santa (a Matchbox Treasure Island car set thingy for K, and an Acceleracers Drone Sweeper for P) so they were happy! The big gift, and winner of the "You're Our Favorite" award, went to Aunt V & Uncle J who got the boys a 14-in-1 game table. Well, it may actually just be a 10-in-1 game table, because I did hear some grumbling from Grampa & Daddy as they were putting it together....

For Christmas Day dinner we had Gramma, Grampa, Mac, Grandmother, Grandfather, and Auntie D came in from Cincy and we did ham & prime rib (so everyone was happy!).

It really was a great weekend, and a great day overall!
