SCHOOL DAZE

We made it through the first week of school! And yes, we've been in a "daze"! Still trying to get used to the change in schedule (even though we'd been changing our schedule in preparation).

When Mr. Snyder (bus driver) came to pick them up he yelled, "Oh noooooo!" He is just hysterical (and WAYYY too perky in the morning!). We did have a little moment of panic when on Friday, he followed the boys off the bus to tell us that Mr. Kevin was a "little upset" with him. Guess the fighting over who sits by the window has started ALREADY. And for those that are thinking it's the fight to see who gets to sit next to the window to look out... NOPE. The fight is always over who HAS to sit by the window... 'cause then the child in the aisle gets to socialize with everyone else in the aisle seats.

We're slowly learning a bit about their classmates - they have a Hailey, Asia, Ashley (from their class last year), Jessica and that's about all the names we've heard. We asked Patrick if there was someone named Kevin in his class and he just stared at us blankly. After about 45 seconds he finally "got it" and said, "Yeah, that's my brother!".

Kevin, during one of his "I'm up in the middle of the night so I need to go entertain Mommy" stints, told me about how there is a butterfly and bird area outside their room so (the student teacher) Mr. Shakelford goes out every morning to fill the bird feeders. They were also excited because the last two days they had been able to go outside to the playground.

Sounds like basically they are just doing "adjustment" type stuff in the classroom, but so far, so good!!
