Last Friday we took the boys to the Dayton Greek Festival. Harry said later he thought that the Cincinnati one was bigger (well DUH!!) but I was feeling gracious so I told him that I thought the Dayton one was actually bigger & nicer. He started to mention that there weren't any kiddie areas at the Dayton one, but I (yet again, graciously) quietly pointed out to him that I failed to comment on the kiddie area that was behind one of the community buildings. Yes, I did withhold that information from our little darlins'. Add it to their list for the therapist, okay??
We went before the actual opening of the festival since they were open for the business lunch crowd. IT WAS PACKED. We stood in a line for close to 20 minutes before we got up to the food line. I was ready for a (real) drink once we got there; nothing like trying to entertain K & P for 20 minutes in a line, especially when K can smell food. [Just thinking about it makes me want to have a drink!]
We went through the line and got some gyros, moussaka, tapitsio, dolmades and trimoges. The 3 boys ate gyros, and P DEVOURED the moussaka. Yes, add THAT to his list for the therapist, because I'm sure the kid is gonna need one once he realizes he ate eggplant which IS A VEGETABLE!! (gasp!) K was full by time he was offered a dolmades, but while we were in the line and P was covering his mouth and feigning vomiting I told Daddy to NOT get one for P. Good move on my part, eh?
