TWO WEEKS... AND COUNTING!!!

School starts in two weeks. From today. Right at this very moment, in two weeks, their whiny, cranky heinies will be exiting the bus and into their new classrooms at CKV. I never imagined I'd be the type of Mom to say this, but... WOO HOOOO!!! I had hoped to (re)gain "control" over the summer, but that obviously did NOT happen. (Although I'm still wondering what my Dad did to Kevin because he was awfully aquiescent when I returned home from Provo....) Anyway, will be glad for school to start so that I can get them back on a schedule & into a routine which involves picking up after themselves, etc...

I just wish there was a way to get Patrick to get a move on. Anyone have a spare cattle prod around they'd like to donate to the cause? I thought that Harry was going to explode the other night waiting for Patrick, in his typical meanderings, to finally work his way to his bed. Guess I'm gonna be setting the alarm clock extra early for him this year because I really detest starting my day out screaming, "Focus! GET YOUR SHOES* ON!!! C'mon, Patrick - you need your shoes on!!" (*substitute clothes... eat breakfast... brush teeth... go potty.... etc....)

Waiting to hear from the principal today, too. Was surprised to get the paperwork from the school saying the boys were in separate classrooms; have now learned the lesson that it doesn't matter what you put onto the paperwork since the person assigning students doesn't SEE the paperwork! <> Their principal is AWESOME, though -- she is trying really hard to readjust everything to keep the boys together! I was surprised, too, because when she called the first thing she did was comment on the card the boys (aka ME) made for her at the end of the year (I put in pics of the boys, pictures of different school activities and they answered questions like what they liked best about school, about that teacher/principal, etc....). I had actually forgotten all about those cards LOL!

Okay, off to empty the dishwasher, since I've been waiting all morning for the opportunity. If I'm REALLY lucky, maybe there's some laundry I could do, too!! <--- note sarcasm
