An i-friend, who is a mother of twins, would appreciate if you'd check out their website for the "Light the Night" walk - and think about making a donation! You can do it all on-line and pick however much you'd like to donate -- even if it's just $1 it helps!!

Here is Sarina's story from their caringbridge website http://www3.caringbridge.org/pa/sarina/ :
Here is a very brief history of our beautiful Sarina. Sarina and her twin sister Elizabeth entered this world on November 8, 1996 11 weeks early. Sarina weight 2 pounds 6 ounces. They spent the first seven weeks in the NIC.Sarina had some normal preemie issues. At the age of four we found a lump on her neck. After the DR saw it we were sent to the oncologist. Almost 2 years later on August 18, 2002 after many tests, biopsies and worrying we were told Sarina had stage 4B Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We started chemo immediately. On March 26, 2003 Sarina finished her last round of chemo and was in remission. Now we are dealing with medial issues due to her early birth and the chemo. She has CP, Scoliosis, ASD (heart defect), Raynaud's, stomach and lung problems. She has feeding issues and is now diagnosed with Failure To Thrive and realizes on a G-tube.
I'm also spreading the word for a Beta Sigma Phi sister who works at the Jacksonville, FL Humane Society. They are going "no kill" in October and are trying to raise more funds so they've made up "Spay - Neuter - Adopt" rubber bracelets. Here is HER story:
And I love even more that we're going to go "no kill" October first whichmeans that we'll workthat much harder to find good homes for our animals, andwork with people to keep their animals...while really reducing the numbers weeuthanize. In an effort to get ourSPAY *** NEUTER *** ADOPTmotto/slogan out there we purchased rubber wristbands that come in red, blueand black - but the black has sold out. We are ordering more though so don't worry! Well... for a MINIMUM $5 donation, I will send you a wristband in your choiceof blue or red...or black if you want to wait for up to 5 weeks for them to arrive. If you want to order bands for your family, friends, business, etc etcetc... I can hook you up for $5 each. And best of all....the money goes directly to the animals we take careof...which is over 15,000 animals/year. We are so frugal with our overhead thatwe re-use paper for the fax machine and scratch pads. We really truly use all ofour donations to give our animals the best care and qualityof life we canwhile working super hard to adopt or rescue them out.So please please please take pity on me.... $5 is really only the cost of atrip to McD's for some of us. Won't you please make my day and help someanimals in the process?
If you are interested, let me know & I'll send you Tammy's address. Just didn't want to post it in THIS public of a forum....
Okay, public service announcements are over. Please return to your previous broadcast...
