LOOKS LIKE WE MADE IT.....

It's 4 am so I'll try not to get too "weird" in this post, as I'm apt to do at this hour . Ah, the joys of thinking too much and sleeping too little.... Maybe by time I'm done I'll have come up with a clever title.... hmmmm.....

Mom & Dad (bless them!) came down, hung out for a few hours, then took us to the airport and took Hannah to "Camp Gramma - Papaw". She, as usual, has prime accomodations in the middle of their bed and on the couches. I think she tends to prefer the love seat so that Grampaw can easily reach over from his recliner & pet her head .

Flight into BWI airport wasn't too bad. The packing process was MUCH more traumatic! I told the boys I was very proud of them for being good and listening... and they were such good little guys during the whole process! Our flight got in about 15 minutes early but Harry still managed to catch us before we went for our luggage.

We stopped at a local mall for a late dinner at "Chili's Too!" (an abbreviated Chili's restaurant -- too bad Harry wasn't wearing that clients' shirt that night LOL!) and the kids caught sight of the "castle" where they do a Medeival Times dinner theatre. They want to go; I'm sorta gagging on the $150+ it would cost. (Yes, I can be cheap!!)

Okay, I just thought up a title for this posting. Why is it that song lyrics keep running through my head????

Anyway, Tuesday was a late night 'cause the kids were sooo excited that they didn't pass out until about 10 pm. (NOTE TO SELF: Start carrying melatonin in my purse!!) Wednesday we took Harry to work, stopped at Dollar Tree & picked up noodles & dive sticks, then went back & swam in the (indoor) pool at the hotel for a few hours. I offered to take the kids to see Shark Boy & Lava Girl and they turned me down, because they had bought a bag of "little green men" (army men) at the dollar store & they wanted to stay & play with them. Go figure! Well, at least I dodged having to see another horrible kiddie movie LOL! (Okay, so yeah, my parents win that award STILL with taking J&M to see "Pokemon: The Movie" LOL!!) Managed to nap the kids that day ( woo hoo!!!) then we met Daddy & Mr. Amos for dinner at Red Lobster.

Apparently I haven't paid enough attention to Harry's stories about his trips to this Red Lobster WITH Mr. Amos or I may have pushed for another place -- but the boys have always talked about Red Lobster so we figured we'd let them try it. (And yes, Patrick did eat all the shrimp he could get his fingers on!) Well, obviously the two of them have quite the track record at this restaurant for crappy experiences, and the other night was no exception! First Mr. Amos got to the bottom of his coffee cup to find a puddle of coffee grounds. The waiter's response? "Hey, at least you know it was fresh!"

So when Harry found a date expiration sticker in his dinner, yup, once again, the waiter said, "Well, at least you know it is fresh!" (It said "good until end of Wednesday" LOL). A manager came over & offered the whole table dessert and took his meal off the bill, so we got the kids some brownie / ice cream concoction to share. (NOTE TO SELF: Start carrying melatonin in my purse especially when out late at night for dinner and giving kids massive sugary dessert!!)

Okay, well, I'm gonna end it here and try to get another hour of sleep or so before we have to take Daddy to work this morning!
